Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 08/08/2026

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of SJ’s Gift Shop and the purchase of products through www.sjsgiftshop.co.uk (“Website”).

By using our Website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the Website.

1. About Us

Business name: SJ’s Gift Shop
Address: Chestnut Cottage, Birchfield Road, Nordelph, Norfolk, PE38 0BP

Email: info@sjsgiftshop.co.uk

We sell physical and digital products to customers within the United Kingdom.

2. Eligibility

You must be legally capable of entering into a contract to purchase products from us.

If you are under 18, you should only use the Website with the involvement and permission of a parent or legal guardian.

3. Products and Product Information

We make reasonable efforts to ensure that product descriptions, photographs, prices, specifications and other information on the Website are accurate.

However:

  • colours and appearance may vary depending on your device or screen;
  • images may be for illustrative purposes;
  • product packaging may occasionally differ from images shown;
  • digital products may have specific technical requirements, which will be stated where applicable.

We reserve the right to correct errors, update information and change product availability at any time before an order is accepted.

4. Product Availability

All products are subject to availability.

If you order a product that subsequently becomes unavailable, we will notify you and, where payment has already been taken, provide an appropriate refund.

For digital products, availability may depend on the compatibility of your device, software or operating system.

5. Prices

Prices are displayed on the Website in GBP (£) unless otherwise stated.

Where applicable, prices will include VAT. Any applicable delivery charges or other additional charges will be clearly displayed before you complete your order.

We may change prices at any time, but a price change will not affect an order that we have already accepted.

If we discover an obvious pricing error, we may contact you before accepting your order. If an order has been accepted because of an obvious pricing error, we may cancel the order and refund any payment made.

6. Placing an Order

When you place an order through the Website, you are making an offer to purchase the selected products.

After placing an order, you should receive an order acknowledgement by email. This acknowledgement does not necessarily mean that your order has been accepted.

A contract between you and us is formed when we confirm that your order has been accepted and/or dispatch the physical products or provide access to the digital products, as applicable.

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order where there is a legitimate reason, including suspected fraud, significant pricing errors, product availability issues or technical errors.

7. Payment

Payment must be made using the payment methods available at checkout.

You confirm that you are authorised to use the payment method provided.

Payments may be processed by third-party payment providers. We do not normally have access to your full payment card details.

We may delay or cancel an order if payment is not successfully authorised.

8. Delivery of Physical Products

We deliver physical products to addresses within the United Kingdom.

Estimated delivery times are provided at checkout or in your order confirmation. Unless otherwise agreed, delivery will take place within the period required by applicable UK consumer law.

Once your order has been dispatched, we will provide any available tracking information.

You should provide an accurate delivery address. We are not responsible for delays or failed delivery caused by incorrect or incomplete information supplied by you.

If a product is damaged, defective or does not arrive, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible using the contact details above.

9. Digital Products

Digital products may include downloads, files, licences, access codes, online content or other electronically supplied products.

After payment and order confirmation, digital products may be made available by download, email, customer account or another method stated on the Website.

You are responsible for ensuring that your device and software meet any technical requirements specified for the digital product.

You must not share, resell, reproduce, distribute, publish or otherwise misuse digital products except where expressly permitted by law or by the applicable licence.

Where a digital product is supplied under a separate licence, the terms of that licence will also apply.

10. Cancellation Rights for Physical Products

If you are a consumer, you generally have a statutory right to cancel an online purchase of physical goods within 14 days after the day on which you, or someone you nominate, receives the goods.

You then generally have a further 14 days to return the goods after notifying us of your decision to cancel.

This right is subject to statutory exceptions, including certain personalised or bespoke products and other goods for which cancellation rights do not apply.

To exercise your cancellation rights, contact us at:

Email: info@sjsgiftshop.co.uk
Address: Chestnut Cottage, Birchfield Road, Nordelph, Norfolk, PE38 0BP

Unless the law provides otherwise, you are responsible for the direct cost of returning goods when exercising your cancellation right.

We will issue refunds in accordance with applicable UK consumer law.

11. Cancellation Rights for Digital Products

Where you purchase digital content that is not supplied on a tangible medium, you may have a statutory cancellation right unless you have expressly agreed that the supply may begin before the end of the cancellation period and acknowledged that you will lose your cancellation right once supply begins.

Where applicable, we will obtain the required confirmation before making the digital content available immediately.

This does not affect your statutory rights where digital content is faulty, not as described or otherwise fails to meet the requirements of applicable consumer law.

12. Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Products

Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

If a product is faulty, damaged, incorrectly supplied or does not conform to the contract, please contact us with details of the issue.

Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement, price reduction or refund.

For digital products, your statutory rights also apply where the digital content or digital service is faulty or does not conform to the contract.

13. Refunds

Where you are entitled to a refund, we will process it in accordance with applicable UK consumer law.

Unless otherwise required by law, refunds will normally be made using the original payment method.

Where a refund relates to cancelled physical goods, we may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back or you have provided evidence that they have been returned, whichever occurs first, where permitted by law.

14. Returns

Returned physical products should be packaged appropriately to prevent damage during transit.

Unless a product is faulty, damaged, incorrect or otherwise covered by a statutory right, returned products should generally be unused and in their original condition, subject to your statutory rights.

Certain products may be excluded from cancellation or return rights where permitted by law, including certain personalised, bespoke, sealed or otherwise exempt products.

Any applicable product-specific exclusions will be stated clearly before purchase.

15. Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights in the Website, including text, graphics, logos, photographs, software, designs and other content, belong to us or our licensors unless otherwise stated.

You may use the Website only for lawful personal or legitimate purchasing purposes.

You must not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, sell or commercially exploit Website content without our prior written permission, except where permitted by law.

16. Digital Product Licence

Unless otherwise stated, purchasing a digital product gives you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the product for your personal use.

You must not:

  • resell or redistribute the digital product;
  • upload it to publicly accessible websites or file-sharing services;
  • reproduce it for commercial distribution;
  • remove copyright or ownership notices; or
  • use it in a way that infringes our intellectual property rights or those of our licensors.

Different licence terms may apply to particular digital products and will be provided with those products.

17. Website Use

You agree not to use the Website:

  • for any unlawful purpose;
  • to commit fraud or attempt to obtain products or services dishonestly;
  • to interfere with the operation or security of the Website;
  • to introduce malicious software or harmful code;
  • to attempt unauthorised access to accounts or systems; or
  • in any manner that could damage our business or the Website.

We may suspend or restrict access where we reasonably believe that the Website is being misused.

18. Customer Accounts

If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your login details confidential.

You should notify us promptly if you believe that your account has been accessed without your permission.

You are responsible for information provided through your account being accurate and up to date.

We may suspend or terminate an account where reasonably necessary, including where there has been misuse or a breach of these Terms.

19. Reviews and User Content

If you submit reviews, comments, photographs or other content to the Website, you must ensure that the content is lawful, accurate and does not infringe another person’s rights.

You must not submit content that is defamatory, threatening, abusive, discriminatory, obscene, fraudulent or otherwise unlawful.

By submitting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce and display that content for operating, promoting and improving our business, subject to applicable law.

We reserve the right to remove content that we reasonably consider inappropriate or unlawful.

20. Privacy

We process personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Our Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how we use it and the rights you may have in relation to your personal information.

21. Third-Party Services

The Website may use third-party services, including payment processors, delivery companies, hosting providers and technology providers.

Those services may have their own terms and privacy policies.

We are not responsible for third-party websites or services except where required by law.

22. Promotions and Discount Codes

Promotional codes and discounts may be subject to additional terms, including expiry dates, minimum order values, product exclusions or limits on use.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, promotional codes cannot be exchanged for cash or combined with other offers.

We reserve the right to withdraw or amend promotions where permitted by law.

23. Our Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful.

In particular, nothing in these Terms affects your statutory consumer rights or our liability for matters that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

Subject to the above, we are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was formed.

We are not responsible for business losses suffered by consumers, including loss of profits, revenue, business opportunities or anticipated savings.

This section does not limit any rights you may have under applicable UK consumer protection law.

24. Events Outside Our Control

We will not be responsible for delays or failures caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control, including natural disasters, severe weather, strikes, transport disruption, telecommunications failures, cyber incidents, government action or other events beyond our reasonable control.

Where such an event affects your order, we will take reasonable steps to notify you and minimise the impact.

25. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time.

The version applicable to your purchase will normally be the version displayed on the Website when you place your order.

Any significant changes affecting future purchases will be published on the Website with an updated date.

26. Complaints

If you have a complaint, please contact us first:

Email: info@sjsgiftshop.co.uk

Address: Chestnut Cottage, Birchfield Road, Nordelph, Norfolk, PE38 0BP

We will try to resolve complaints fairly and promptly.

Nothing in these Terms prevents you from exercising any statutory rights or remedies available to you.

27. Governing Law

These Terms and any contract between you and us are governed by the law of [England and Wales / Scotland / Northern Ireland], subject to any mandatory consumer protections that apply to you.

If you are a consumer resident in the UK, you will benefit from any mandatory rights and protections available to you under applicable UK consumer law.

28. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful, invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be treated as removed to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue to apply.

29. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with any product-specific terms, applicable licence terms, delivery information and our Privacy Policy, form the agreement between you and us concerning your use of the Website and purchase of products, except where additional terms are required by law.
